A FOOD festival, craft workshops and a coronation picnic are just a few of the exciting events taking place in Cirencester this May.

To start the month with a bang the Cornhall will be transformed into a woolly haven during Cotswold Wool Weekend which will take place on Saturday, April 29 until Monday, May 1.

There will be over 30 exhibitors will be showcasing their woolly crafts and multiple workshops including punch needles, felting and invisible mending going on in the town.

A big lunch for the coronation will be taking place at the Abbey Grounds on Sunday, May 7 where everyone is invited to bring a picnic to celebrate together.

This is part of the Eden Project’s Big Lunch initiative which aims to create friendships, reduce loneliness and boost community spirit.

There will be also an artisan market, live music and food stalls in the park to celebrate this historic occasion between 12pm and 6pm.

Cirencester's annual Food Festival is back and better than ever at the Market Place and Abbey Grounds showcasing over 60 stall of local food and drink on the Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 between 10am - 4pm.

The regular favourites, the Charter Market and Indoor Market, will taking place at their usual times. 

Every Saturday there will be a Crafts Market at the Cornhall between 10am - 4:30pm.

An Antiques and Collectibles market will take place every Friday 8am - 3pm at the Cornhall.

There will also be a Vintage & Artisan Fair at the Cornhall on Sunday, May 21 between 10am - 4pm.

A farmers market brimming with tasty local produce will be taking place at the Market Place on Saturday, May 27 between 9am and 2.30pm.
