PLANNING is underway for Painswick Easter egg hunt 2017 which takes place around St Mary's Churchyard and the village centre on Saturday, April 15 from 12-4pm.

There will be 30 beautifully designed eggs hiding all around the village, for you and your little ones to find.

The theme this year is children’s film favourites.

Local companies, the playgroup, the Croft School, as well as some highly artistic mums are in the process of creating some amazing eggs.

There’s even a grown up set of clues so it promises to be a great day out for all the family.

Attractions this year will include a bouncy castle, food stalls selling hot pork rolls, burgers and hot dogs, as well as a delicious homemade cake stall, tombolas, face painting and much more.

The group are looking for as many entrants as possible to the newly created Easter Egg poster competition in the pre-school and school age groups.

And on the day don’t forget to bring your favourite cuddly toy for the Teddy Bear parachuting from the church spire.

Maps to the event will be on sale from The Falcon pub, the library and the playgroup in Painswick, and will be £3 in advance and £4 on the day per child, under 2s are free.

Parking will be available at The Rec and Stamages car park.
