A LATE goal from Hadley's Luke Alfano denied Cirencester Town all three points in their Southern League Division One Central encounter.

Levi Irving had put the hosts ahead just seven minutes in but Edwards Davis equalised just before the 20th minute of the game.

Jordan Morris put The Centurions back ahead after the break and the home side looked as if they were heading for all three points.

But Alfano clipped a finish into the top corner to frustrate the hosts and ensure they end the week with just a single point from a possible six.

Cirencester had been shocked in mid-week as they slipped to a first defeat in six league games at home to bottom of the league Barton Rovers.

Kieran Hamilton scored one in each half to end Ciren's run of five straight league victories.

So they were after a response on Saturday and they got it when Irving rounded the defenders to tuck his shot into the net after seven minutes.

But the lead did not last long. Davis was able to spot Centurions' keeper Alex Harris off his line and find the back of the net to make it 1-1.

The game continued at a frantic pace and despite the home side creating a couple of openings it remained level at the interval.

With the play-off spots being incredibly tight in the league, Cirencester knew they could ill-afford to drop more points and on the hour they regained the lead when Morris broke into the Hadley box before placing his shot inside the right post.

The hosts were not over the line yet but they began to sat off and were caught out inside the final ten minutes as Alfano clipped the ball past Harris and into the top corner.

Both sides pushed for a winner but the scores remained locked at 2-2.
