BOURTON Roadrunners took on international athletes at the Bath Half Marathon.
Linda Edwards was among 11,000 runners on Sunday (March 16), including elite athletes vying for World Athletics Road Running Championships qualification.
She completed the 13.1-mile course in two hours, seven minutes, and 58 seconds.
On Saturday (March 15), Bourton's Annie participated in the Draycote Water 10k, part of the Draycote Water Running Festival, which offered five kilometre, 10 kilometre, and half-marathon options.
Despite the challenging terrain, Annie, 72, was delighted to meet Rupert, a fellow runner with Parkinson’s disease, who paced her to finish the course in 71 minutes and 46 seconds.
The weekend also saw the Roadrunners taking part in various parkrun events across the planet.
Gillian James participated in Harkerville, South Africa, achieving a course personal best of 32 minutes and 37 seconds, and first place in the VW55 category.
At Horspath in Oxford Liz Hulcup topped the VW70 category with a time of 32:13, Jaq Underwood led the VW55 category, clocking in at 32:14, and Louise Hamilton-Smith was third in the VW45 category with a time of 32:15, and the trio finished together.
Eva Shoemark made her mark in the SW25 category at Monsal Trail in Bakeswell, finishing second with a time of 23:59, while Niamh Shoemark topped the VW55 category, clocking in at 24:15.
At Stratford George Swayne ran a lightning quick 19:08 for first place in SM18, Susan Hunt (26:28) finished second in the VW55, and Lee Smith set a new course PB in 28:01.
