MORETON Rangers Reserves have celebrated an incredible season with their future teammates. 

On May 11, Moreton Rangers U17's and senior reserves celebrated their seasonal success after a rocky first team season. 

Senior players celebrated winning division two of the Witney and District league, whilst the U17's are currently placed eighth in the Ambassador Evesham Football League with a game to go.

Harry Peters, manager of Moreton Rangers senior reserve team said: "Its been an extremely successful season. 

"This is our first season back after covid and we won the league quite convincingly."

The senior reserves won 21 out of the 23 games they played, losing the other two. 

Moreton Rangers Reserves only lost to CHQ United and Faringdon Town Development.

Around 100 people attended the awards evening which lasted until the early hours. 

Mr Peters continued: "It ended up being quite a comfortable season in the end, though one team did keep us on our toes. 

"We are hoping to integrate the U17 team into seniors next year and we are also looking to open a third senior development team, but we are still looking for players."

Moreton Rangers Reserves mathematically won the season on April 27 after a 2-1 victory over Milton-U-Wychwood Reserves with goals from Lee Brooks and Keiron Harte. 

Senior awards: Top goalscorer - Lee Brooks, most improved - Jamie Shurmer, young player - Keiron Harte, supporters player - Lee Brooks, players player - Tom Newbould, managers player - Lee Brooks.

U17 awards: Clubman - Sam Careless, most improved - Luke Britton, supporters player - Matthew Hitchings, players player - Samuel Hurrell, managers player - Theo Mogford and Samuel Hurrell.
