Four Cirencester swimmers featured in the Gloucestershire team in the annual Three Counties gala against Staffordshire and Worcestershire – and helped the county team to their first victory since 2003.

In the individual events , Finley Mooney took first place in 100 Free for 13-year-old boys, Olivia Kerr Muir finished second in the 16-year-old girls’ 100 Breaststroke and Willow Kerr Muir placed fourth in the 13-year-old girls’ 100 Free.

All three also took part in the relay events, along with club mate, Ruby Hourigan.

Club chair Andy Powell said: “We were proud of them all for being selected for the county team, but to win the gala as well is superb.”
