A YOUNG swimmer from Cirencester has been selected for a national programme following an excellent recent performance in the pool.
Finley Mooney, of Cirencester Swimming Club, is celebrating after being selected for phase one of the Swim England National Development Programme for the 2021-2022 season.
Due to his impressive performances at Swim England’s Festival of Swimming, where he finished 9th in Britain in the 100 Fly for 13-year-olds, Finley has been selected to attend talent camps during October and March.
This will include technical and soft skill workshops.
Cirencester Swimming Club chairman Andy Powell said: “We’re all delighted for Finley.
“It’s a very well-deserved recognition for him after all the hard work he puts in both in and out of the pool.”
