The South Gloucestershire side lost the toss but were soon enjoying being in the field as Timsbury wilted against Chare Smith (3-10 from seven) and then Eddie Williams (4-25 from eight) to be bowled out for just 78 at home.

Dom Hooper starred with bat and ball for Claverham who were 97-run victors away to Coalpit Heath.

The 22-year-old all-rounder top scored with a patient 44 in a total of 152-9. But in reply Heath were soon on the back foot at 6-6 before being bowled out for 55 as Hooper (6-24 from 8.3) and Sam Waring (2-14) dominated.

But batting proved to be even more of a struggle for Shurdington who could not deal with Turner, finding themselves in all kinds of bother at 10-3 and then 28-7 with White (25) the only batsman to settle.

In reply, the home side made a solid start through Ben Harris (40) and Russ Baker (33) but slid from 67-1 to 108-5 and finished well short.

It was closer at Congresbury where Twyford House squeezed in by one wicket.

Star of the show was Tom Armfield who followed his 4-27 with a battling unbeaten 49 off 94 balls (five fours and a six) as Twyford rallied from 27-3 and 122-8 to reach their target of 152.
