ALI KELLY, playing off 3, stormed to victory in the Ladies’ Scratch Cup – her fifth championship victory in a row.

Her total of 162 (79, 83) left her eight shots clear of the runner-up Emma Brereton on 170 (83, 87).

Third place went to Deb Organ on 173 (86, 87).

This year saw the inauguration of the Nett Cup and it proved to be a great success with 15 ladies taking part.

Karen Pracy-Jennings played two steady rounds of 76 and 75 for an aggregate of 151 which gave her a two-shot victory over Karen Organ on 153 (78, 75).

Ali Kelly was third on 156 (76, 80).

The podium trio was followed home by Emily Gorman, Elaine Killick and Deb Organ.

Following the conclusion of play, lady captain Erika Brooke gave all the participants a glass of bubbly, and a bouquet of flowers to the two winners, Ali and Karen.
