Players at Fairford Town Football Club are to benefit from more than £2,000 in sponsorship support from housebuilder Cotswold Homes Ltd which currently is building a residential development nearby in the picturesque Gloucestershire town.

Fairford Gardens, which is taking shape on a greenfield site adjacent to June Lewis Way, will be an exclusively private new community of just eight three and four-bedroom detached homes designed to complement local architectural styles.

"We have a long-established tradition of putting something back into the communities which support our business," explains the firm’s sales and marketing director Terri Hayes-Pugh.

"In recent years Cotswold Homes has pledged and provided practical support for sport, education, the arts, charities and the environment in the areas where we create new homes."

This week Terri unveiled plans to partner with Fairford Town Football Club with a £2,200 package of support embracing the supply of 30 tracksuits for use by the first and reserve teams.

In addition, the housebuilder will sponsor the fixture board located at the Cinder Lane entrance to the ground as well as the match day programmes produced for all first team league fixtures.

Welcoming the support, club chairman Stuart Pike said: "It is with great pleasure that we at Fairford Town Football Club welcome another high profile company in Cotswold Homes Ltd to Cinder Lane as commercial partners and sponsors to our Community Football Club.

"We look forward to a partnership which benefits all on and off the pitch."

Fairford Town Football Club, which has more than 200 players and members, finished in third place in the Premier League Hellenic League before the season was halted by Covid-19.
