FOREST GREEN boss Mark Cooper is ignoring any off-pitch shenanigans as his looks to get his side’s season back on track against Leyton Orient.
Orient manager Ross Embleton alleged Cooper made an "unacceptable" jibe about late Orient manager Justin Edinburgh in a touchline row during Rovers’ 4-2 victory at Brisbane Road last November. Embleton was sent off in the first half for throwing chewing gum at Cooper.
Afterwards the FA announced it would not be investigating the alleged remark.
When asked about the upcoming game, Cooper responded: “I’m just focused on what happens on the pitch. People who were there know what happened and it was proved, so I’m just focusing on what happens on the pitch.”
Watch Mark Cooper’s press conference in full where he discusses the steadfast support from chairman Dale Vince, recent form, team news and the sad loss of 1982 FA Vase Wembley hero Jimmy Jenkins.
