Melksham Town 3 – 2 Cirencester Town
CIRENCESTER'S seven-game unbeaten run under new boss John Brough came to an end at in-form Melksham Town, writes Dave Pyzer.
The home side opened the scoring after four minutes - Luke Ballinger headed a Phil Ormrod cross inside the right post.
Cirencester levelled when Jonny Dennis darted in to convert a Tommy Anderson cross.
It was now game on as Cirencester pressed forward, but on the half-hour Jake Mawford fizzed in. However, Ciren responded with Dennis netting parity.
Melksham started quickly after the break and it took a few minutes for Cirencester to mount an attack but just as they were beginning to pose a threat - with home keeper Jamie Bartlett managing to keep out a looping header from Levi Irving - the home side scored again when Jake Mawford delivered the ball to the back post for Ormond to bundle home.
