Forest Green players were handed a touch of Sunday school punishment after their insipid display against bottom-of-the-table Stevenage 24 hours earlier.
Headmaster Mark Cooper rightly brought the squad in this morning to chew over their wretched performance.
We saw little movement, too much poor passing, and far too few shots - it was a very poor game. Yes we kept a clean sheet and a point has been added to our total, but it certainly was not earned.
The crowd was sadly small, but I do have respect for those around me. They kept the Rovers chant going despite the on field display. There was another sending off, but it was a very soft one. Has the standard of refereeing dropped this season? The evidence points that way. I hope I am not being too harsh on a young team and know there will be other bad days but lacklustre performances will not generate the atmosphere we wish to experience in the stadium, and problems with the south stand need to be sorted out.
One final moan, please do something do something about corners. They are amazingly unproductive. Happily all is not doom and gloom - We are fifth in the league.
