Wroughton-based junior football team, Wroughton Youth FC U13 Panthers have styled out the latest season in a brand-new kit thanks to sponsorship from local housebuilder, Linden Homes.

Linden Homes provided funds for the team to source the new kits for all players in the Panthers, which will feature the Linden Homes logo for two years. The funds have also been used towards helping reduce the club’s membership costs.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Panther’s manager Paul Brown, commented: “The sponsorship from Linden Homes means a great deal to the club. It’s allowed us to invest in some new kits which the lads are absolutely over the moon with.

“Our membership fees are already some of the lowest in the area, but the sponsorship also means we can reduce these further allowing kids from all backgrounds to be able to come along and enjoy playing football. The sponsorship money from Linden Homes has made a real difference.”

Wroughton Youth FC is an inclusive community-club, welcoming players of all abilities who want to play and most importantly, enjoy football. The club is made up of 19 teams, with over 150 players ranging from under 7s to under 16s.

During the Panther’s most recent season the U13 side won an impressive nine of their 16 games, finishing second in Division Two of the North Wilts League.

Trevor Wicks, Managing Director of Linden Homes Thames Valley, said: “It’s a great privilege to be able sponsor the U13 Panthers – the boys had a great season and fingers crossed they’ll be able to carry that form into the new season in their brand-new kit.”
