Cirencester Town U15s finished their season in style as they won the National Aces Tournament.

The tournament, which took place in Nottingham last month, is for league and cup winners from all over the country and consisted of 40 teams and over 600 players. (Cirencester had won the u15’s Gloucestershire County Cup, this season)

Cirencester had qualified through their Gloucestershire County Cup victory earlier in the season.

The format was eight groups of five with top two progressing to the last 16.

Cirencester topped their group before they faced a tough side from Manchester in the last 16, winning 3-2 on penalties.

This set up quarter final tie with the host side Nottingham, who they beat 2-1.

They then edged past defending champions Marlow, winning 1-0.

Berkhamsted awaited Cirencester in the final which looked like it was going to be a tough task given that they'd beaten favourites 5-0 in the knock-out stages.

Cirencester won a tight final 1-0 and were crowned national champions.

The final was a very tight encounter as the sides were evenly matched but Cirencester ran out 1-0 winners to be crowned National Champions.
