Cirencester Town boss Charlie Griffin described Friday's 0-0 draw with Fairford Town as 'a good run out,' for his players.

The Centurions played their second pre-season friendly in three days against Jody Bevan's Fairford who've already faced Hungerford Town and Gloucester City.

Griffin wasn't too disappointed with the result.

"It was a good run out and good to get minutes in the legs," he said.

"We played on Tuesday night as well so not as much recovery time, plus I have pushed them in training over the last 10 days."

The Cirencester boss also confirmed he is hoping to make some new signings in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Fairford manager Bevan was delighted with his side's performance.

He tweeted: "Another very good 24 hours for @FairfordTownFC. Superb performance to draw 0-0 with @CirenTownFC last night.

"Today the reserves have won their first game 4-1 at Bibury.

"Early days but it's exciting to be part of the club at the moment."
