Cirencester Town new boy Tommy Ouldridge is delighted to have joined his first choice club and is now eyeing promotion with the Centurions.

Ouldridge had two loan spells at the Corinium but sealed a permanent switch to Cirencester last week.

He also scored in Cirencester's first pre-season friendly in a 4-3 defeat to Swindon Supermarine on Tuesday night.

The midfielder is buzzing to be back at and was pleased to get some minutes under his belt.

"It was really nice to be back," he said.

"It was my first option really.

"I know all the lads here, I know the fans and I know the club.

"It's a really good place to play football and at this stage, I'm just looking to get games under my belt and I know at Cirencester I'll get the chance to do that.

"We played some good football and it was good to be back with the lads.

"Pre-season is all about getting minutes and getting fit so the goal is a bonus, it was nice to do that as I'm looking to add goals to my game so it's a nice feeling."

The 20-year-old is aiming to win promotion with the Centurions and believes with a couple more new signings, the side are more than capable.

"We've kept the same bunch that was here last year so we've got the core there," said Ouldridge.

"A few more additions and I think we can definitely push to go up.

"The play-off semi-final defeat was tough to take for Cirecenster so hopefully this year we'll look to get promoted and be back up there.

"Obviously it's a team game and I want to get promoted here so anything else is a bonus for me personally."
