North Cotswold Tri & Run - round up

Marathon man Steve Edwards finished second in his 875th marathon at the Enigma Rocky 2 in Milton Keynes.

Edwards finished in 3:26:12. The course is 7.5 laps of Caldecotte Lake, Edwards went through halfway in just over 1:45, but somehow managed to find something in the final three laps to pull it back and in the end was both pleased and relieved to notch up a 785th #sub330.

Meanwhile, Lucy Walmsley was in Germany to complete Challenge Roth, this is a triathlon race organised by in and around Roth bei Nürnberg, Bavaria, Germany.

It is held every July. The race has been held since 1990 on the Ironman distance, 2.4 mile swim, 112 miles on the bike followed by a marathon.

Supported by her family and friends Walmsley stormed the course, she finished the swim in 01:09:51, the bike in 05:30:10 and finished strong with a marathon time of 03:43:04, her overall time was 10:26:08 and 4th in her age group V45.

Elsewhere, eight year old Phoebe Miller did her first open water triathlon, she raced the TASF Junior open water Tri event in the Forest of Dean.

She loved the lake swim and was 7th out of 28 in age category in an overall time of 23:23.

Claire Harrison ran Evesham 10k and put in a steady performance to finish in 45:04 4th V35.

Mike Kelly Completed the 'Ring Of Kerry Charity Cycle’ 175km/108m cycle event which raises money towards various charities.

The event is held in County Kerry, South- Western Ireland

It is not a race its about raising money for the various charities and helping others less fortunate than ourselves.

Cally Maxwell swam the Tri Ferris Big Swim at The Cotswold Water Park, Shorncote, Cirencester - Maxwell competed in the two mile distance and finished in 01:03:03 and 6/20 in her age category V40.
