Trail en Guirec, Brittany, France, 25km trail
Dave Wright skipped back across the Channel to run an uncharacteristic twenty five kilometres of trail in Brittany where, true to form, he won his age group after finishing 14th overall.

Great Birmingham Run, 10km road
Ruth Fulford took her place in the Great Birmingham Run as a FV70 Master wearing an England Vest. She struggled with cobbles and undulating underpasses but with many high quality runners ahead she still finished halfway up the field in eleven seconds over the hour.

Cotswold Novice Aquathlon, 400m swim, 4.5km run
Libby Butler and Louise Abbott both had a go at the Cotswold Novice Aquathlon, swimming 400 metres before at 4.5 km run.
Both completed the swim in under eleven minutes but Libby managed to pull away on the run to finish 12th to Louise’s 14th.

Weston Prom ‘5’, Weston-super-Mare, 5 miles road
Earlier in the week, Mark Sysum went to the seaside to run five miles along the prom at Weston. His time of just over 31 minutes gave him 23rd place.

parkruns, 5km trail
Run of the week to Ollie Campbell (still a junior) when he beat 534 others to win the Swindon parkrun in a new PB of 17.08. James Thomas slipped back over 17 minutes again to finish 2nd at Gloucester City in 17.15 and Nicola Denning had a go at Tetbury to finish 8th as first lady in 22.52.
Another good run by Mark Sysum at Cirencester where he finished 5th with junior Daniel Winfield hot on his heals in his first Cirencester parkrun and further back a PB by Richard Edwards.
Close to PB runs for Tom Purnell (only 1 second shy), Alan McAdam at Pomphrey Hill and Thomas McNally in New Zealand.
