Cirencester Town defender Baboucarr Jarra looks set to miss their play-off campaign with injury.

The defender limped off in the first half against Mangotsfield United on Easter Monday.

Jarra has played a pivotal role since joining the club at the end of November but revealed he could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

He tweeted: "Playoffs secured but season done and possibly a long time out. Football eyy."

Centurions boss Charlie Griffin was more optimistic after the final whistle.

He admitted losing Jarra would be a big blow but stressed there is enough quality in the squad to cope with the loss.

After Monday's match, he said: “He’s gone off to hospital so we’ll see.

"It could be 10 days but that’s probably him out for the semi-final.

“It’ll definitely be a blow but when you’ve got Cons (Adam Connolly) and Ellis (Dunton) to come in that can play there as well.

"I thought Ellis was great and the back five was very good so I'm pleased with everyone.
