Cirencester Town boss Charlie Griffin says Mat Wieczorek could be out for 'two or three weeks' but was unable to put a timescale on Ben Whitehead's injury.

Wieczorek limped off after just five minutes in Cirencester's 2-0 over Evesham United on Saturday and was replaced by Sam Ayres.

Griffin has provided an update on Wieczorek's condition.

"Mat's popped his calf," said Griffin. "He went to clear it and it popped so that will be two or three weeks.

"Sam's come in and done ever so well so I'm really pleased for him."

Cirencester have been without top scorer Whitehead for the last two games and Griffin is hoping he can still play a part this season.

"He's had a scan but we're not sure. Ben's a positive lad so we'll see how it goes and whether come the end of the season he hasn't played anymore or if we get to the play offs and see how he is from there," added Griffin.

"We won't rush him, we'd never doing anything like that but we've got a good squad of players and we're going to need everybody."
