Malmesbury Victoria’s seven game winning league run came to an end as they were beaten 3-1 by Almondsbury at the Flying Monk on Saturday.
Alexander Bisp scored a hat-trick as the visitors stormed into a 3-0 lead after just 56 minutes.
Jamie Richards scored a consolation for Malmesbury with 20 minutes to go but it was too little too late.
The defeat leaves the Vics in third place, six point off the top but Thornbury Town in fourth are now level on points and have two games in hand.
Before their defeat to Almondsbury, Malmesbury completed a sensational double over high-flying Cheltenham Saracens after a 3-2 win last Wednesday.
Shane Bumphrey, Jack Ellis and Joseph Tranter got on the scoresheet during the five-goal thriller.
Malmesbury were in action last night against Thame Rangers in the quarter-finals of the Subsidary Cup.
