Sharpness 0

Bourton Rovers 3

Bourton Rovers reached their second successive Gloucestershire Amateur Cup final with a comprehensive victory over Sharpness.

Rovers started the game well and dominate the early exchanges creating half chances which weren't converted.

However, in the 15th minute Rovers top goal scorer this season Steve Nurse latched onto a through ball and drilled it into the bottom corner from 18 yards.

Rovers then clicked into gear and played some lovely free flowing football with Danny Way and Harry Larner dominating the midfield.

In the32nd minute, Nurse scored his second after Jack Robson clipped a ball into the six yard box which was headed into the top corner.

The half closed with Rovers on top and Sharpness went in frustrated after creating precious little.

Rovers came out for the second half focussed on securing a final place.

They controlled the early exchanges and again played some attractive football.

Rovers were rewarded with their third and Nurse's hat-trick goal when he broke down the right and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner from 18 yards.

The game closed out with both teams continuing to press hard but with little penetration.

Rovers will look to improve on last year's disappointment in the final when they take on local rivals Moreton Rangers. Rovers take on Abingdon United on Saturday in the semi-final of the Hellenic Chairman's Cup.
