Steve Edwards was out for marathon 857th on Saturday and it was a successful marathon near Burntwood in 3:34:17 for second V55 and sixth place overall.

Eight leg sapping laps around the trails of Chasewater country park, very heavy going through some parts due to the uneven ground but it was a beautiful sunny day which brought together familiar faces from the 100 marathon club.

Phil Brush was in Can Picafort, Mallorca to complete in the Powerman Mallorca Duathlon. Brush was in the classic distance, 10km run, 60km bike and finished off with another 10km run, he ran a strong race earning himself a podium position of third place in an overall time of 250.09 and 1st in his age group M35-39. Brush is now preparing for the British AG Champs at the beginning of April.

James Dunn was up north to take part in the gruelling EnduranceLife Northumberland Trail “Marathon” although slightly over at 27.6 miles. Dunn ran through sandy beaches along stunning coast line to finish in 5:22.

Jason Shailer was on form over the weekend achieving a PB at Fire Service College park run 23.09 Saturday and Sunday another PB for 10km in the Sublime Racing Winter series Peterborough 52.10.

NCTR Members put in a fantastic team performance in the Bourton 10km on Sunday. Dennis Walmsley was first to cross the line for the club in 36.53 1st V55, Kate Krzywiec was 1st FV40 with a PB of 39.17, Mike Kelly 10th V45 in 39.47, Marie Brush 3rd V40 with a PB of 39.55, Lucy Walmsley 2nd V45 in 41.47, Claire Harrison 2nd V40 42.20, Nikki Hitchcock 14th V45 in 48.00, Laura Baskeyfield 48.29 Hannah Mackenzie 48.44, Vivien D’Alton 11th V55 52.28, Daniel Lakey 8th V65 52.58, Ben Hardy 59.03 and Izzy Lane 1.21.
