Bourton Rovers could only manage a point at home against Shrivenham Development in Hellenic League Division Two West.

The point leaves Bourton 15 points off the top with five games in hand over Moreton Rangers and Wantage Town.

Josh Fielding with Rovers goal in the 58th minute and Shrivenham equalised with 10 minutes remaining. Bourton were well on top throughout the game but couldn't find the winner late on.

Rovers face a very tricky trip to Sharpness in the semi-final of the Gloucestershire Northern Amateur Cup (North) this coming Saturday.

Elsewhere, Bourton Rovers Seconds won 4-2 away at high flying Chadlington.

The hosts started on the front foot and soon had veteran keeper Andy Herbert making a mistake and putting Rovers under unnecessary pressure by fumbling a easy back pass, as normal it was someone else's fault. From the resulting corner Herbert made a unbelievable save to keep the scores level. Both teams were trying to play football, but the pitch made thing's difficult. Half an hour in Bourton were awarded a corner, which found Ben Mcphilimey at the edge of the area and he volleyed Rovers ahead with a sublime finish in to the top corner.

The second half started in the same way as the first half with Chadlington on top, they found themselves level 10 minutes in with a free header finding the back of the net. Herbert in the Bourton goal was back to his usual tricks, again a simple back pass was totally misjudged, and Chadlington got a corner out of nothing, as in the first half, Herbert then produced a fantastic finger tip save to keep Bourton in front.

This seemed to spur Bourton on, they stepped up the pace, and were rewarded when a corner was met with a thunderous header from the New Zealand international Mitch Snooks Thomasen. Bourton were now in control, and Lee Mosson was hacked down in the penalty area, Mcphilimey stepped up but his kick was superbly saved by the Chadlington keeper.

Two minutes later however Thomasen met another corner with his head to put Rovers 3-1 up. With 10 minutes left Chadlington pulled one back when a 20 yard shot looped over his head. From the kick-off though Mosson put the game to bed when he caressed the ball past the keeper to wrap things up.
