Malmesbury Victoria boss Andy Wicks is targeting an unbeaten finish to the season after he saw his in-form team comfortably beat Holyport to progress in the Supplementary Cup at the Flying Monk on Saturday.

The Vics have won five in a row in all competitions and have netted 31 goals during that period.

Malmesbury are in two cup competitions and are just five points off second place in Hellenic League Division One West and Wicks insists his team are good enough to finish the season without losing another game.

"I want an unbeaten end to the season," said Wicks.

"I'm not going to say we're going to win this and win that but you've got to believe.

"I say it week in, week out but if we turn up we can beat anyone but the ones who will beat them is themselves."

Malmesbury take on Stokenchurch away from home in the third round of the Supplementary Cup this weekend and with the club competing in two cup competitions, Wicks is hopeful of winning a trophy but admitted the main target is still a top four finish.

"Who wouldn't want to win a cup?" Wicks said.

"I said to the boys you can't get away from the fact we're in two cups.

"I'm never going to play a weakened team in any game, even if it's against our Under 18s so a cup win would be great although top four is still the main target."
