Malmesbury Victoria returned from their Christmas break in ruthless style with a comprehensive victory over Newent Town on Saturday.
The Vics made it back to back league wins as they played their first league match since they beat Tytherington Rocks 5-2 on Saturday, December 15.
Malmesbury opened the scoring early one as top scorer Shane Bumphrey finished to give them the lead.
They made it 2-0 on 33 minutes when Jack Ellis got on the scoresheet.
Bumphrey got his second of the game two minutes into the second half when he converted a penalty.
It was 4-0 after just 56 minutes when Jamie Packer prodded home a cross.
The fifth goal came on 70 minutes as Sam Parker struck to score a welcomed goal.
With nine minutes to go, Malmesbury rounded off the scoring as Andy Baker slotted home the sixth to complete a fine afternoon.
The Vics are sixth in Hellenic League Division One West but are just five points off second place.
