Reading City..... 3
Fairford Town were convincingly beaten at home by the 10 men of Reading City.
Austin Best was sent off for Reading in the 37th minute after he received a second yellow card in a goalless first half but the visitors regrouped superbly in second period to take the points.
Jody Bevan's side were dealt an early blow when Danny Gudger was forced off with an injury after 27 minutes. He was replaced by Mason Thompson.
Best was dismissed 10 minutes later but the two teams were level at the break.
The visitors took the lead after 63 minutes through a bizarre Troy Weavan own goal.
A cross came towards the back post and Weavan's attempted headed clearance looped over the goalkeeper.
It remained 1-0 until the 79th minute when Reading were awarded a penalty which was duly despatched before the compounded Fairford's misery in the 90th minute with a third.
Fairford travel to high flying Brimscombe and Thrupp on Boxing Day.
Their next game isn't until Saturday, January 5 when they take on Ardley United at Cinder Lane in the league.
