Cirencester’s Phoenix Blue Over 70s Walking Football team made a successful trip to Weston-super-Mare on Sunday, bringing home the tournament trophy.
Captained by Charlie Wise, Phoenix Blue beat both Clevedon and Eastleigh, and had scoreless draws against Weston-super-Mare and Birmingham.
They didn’t concede a goal in more than 80 minutes play.
Player-Manager Phil Rice quipped: "Cirencester are fortunate to have such a wealth of young talent available."
The team are hoping to host their own tournament at Cirencester’s Arena next March.
