Minety Rugby manager Andy Grayson was left disappointed as he saw his team go down to an impressive Salisbury side in the Dorset and Wiltshire Vase on Saturday.

Tries from Ben Langridge and Andrew Hibbard had given Minety hope in the match, however they were outdone by a special performance from the almost immaculate Dorset team.

They ended up going down 36 - 17 in the showpiece.

Despite the result though, Grayson revealed that he was proud of his side's performance during the match.

"They were a really good side who hit the ball at pace and from depth," he said.

"We never gave up and showed the true Minety spirit that makes this club so very special.

"We scored two really good tries and I know there’s not a player out there who could have done more.

"Whatever the result, I’m very proud of them all."
