DRIVING fanatic David Turner is rolling back the motorsport years this weekend.

Turning the clock back to the RAC Bath Lombard Rally of 1976, David will jump in VW Beetle this Saturday, alongside his son. 

David said: "The original rally took place from Bath in 1976, all makes & models driven by many world famous drivers such as Roger Clark, Stig Blomqvist and Hanna Mikola.

"The rally is being re-invented on Saturday from Bath,  and there will be 120 cars participating.

"There are four stages of the rally starting from Bath, Longleat Safari Park, ending at Porlock toll road, Minehead as used in the 1976 event.

"I have been rallying VW Beetles since 1974 and rally are a passion of mine and my two sons, my son and I have enter entered the rally and will be driving a Saltzburg Works Volkswagen Beetle under the name of Volkeswagen & Audi MOT Centre & Turner Race Developments, supported by Stonehouse Auto Parts."
