Bourton Rovers 2 - 1 Moreton Rangers

Bourton came from behind to end their Cotswold rivals unbeaten in Hellenic Division Two West.

The game started with Rovers dominating possession with Moreton seemingly happy to sit back. Rovers created a few half chances in the first half with Connor Teague and Mattock always looking dangerous.

Moreton also looked dangerous from sit pieces with their centre halves a threat. The first half closed levelled but with Rovers clearly playing the better football.

The second half kicked into life in the 52nd minute when Joe Jarvis pounced after Rovers failed to clear their lines from a Moreton corner. Jarvis put Moreton into a surprise lead as Moreton created little to this point.

However their lead didn't last long and Rovers showed real character and were level within five minutes after an excellent ball from Harry Larner was met by Teague who drove the ball home from 12 yards.

Things got even better for Rovers two minutes later when they scored their second of the game and the match winner. Keegan Bowes powered past the Moreton right back and calmly slotted past the Moreton goalkeeper after a delightful through ball from Danny Way.

Rovers looked dangerous for the rest of the game but have Callum Trott and Chris Mills to thank for some excellent defending in the final fifteen minutes. Also, Dan Smith proved to be a hero after two outstanding blocks that kept Moreton out.

The game finished with Rovers taking three valuable points and they now sit fourth, one point behind leaders Moreton with a game in hand.
