Bourton Rovers pulled off an incredible comeback at Adderbury Park as they made it back to back wins to go one point off the top on Saturday.

Rovers got off to a sloppy start and Adderbury took advantage of a defensive error in the 25th minute with the opening goal being scored by Chay Buckingham.

He doubled Park’s lead soon after with a calm finish inside the box and Rovers went into half time with a mountain to climb.

Stand in manager, Thomas Green made a couple of formation changes at half time which helped swing the game back in Rovers favour.

Bourton pulled one back early in the second half with an excellent half-volley from Connor Teague which found the top corner from 20 yards.

The goal gave Rovers a lift and they quickly scored their second after a mazy run by Chris Mills saw him finish into the bottom corner from close range.

Both went for the win in the last 25 minutes and it was Teague who completed comeback with the last kick of the game when he slotted the ball calmly past Park’s keeper from 15 yards.

Rovers climbed ahead of their opponents to go fourth with the top four clubs separated by just a point in Hellenic Division Two West.

This Saturday Bourton are in Bluefin Hellenic Challenge Cup action away to Hellenic Premier Division club Binfield.
