Cirencester Swimming Club enjoyed another successful trip in the Southern Junior League on Saturday, September 8 at The Link Centre, Swindon.

Following on from recent senior swimmers successes at English and British National Championships, this competition provided an opportunity for the club’s junior swimmers to showcase their talents.

The SJL is the premier junior team event for clubs across the South West of England.

Cirencester swimmers performed well and produced a wonderful display of competitive swimming with victory in the final gala of the three gala series.

They comfortably secured victory in the B Final against; City of Exeter, Bristol Penguins, Trowbridge and Swim Bournemouth ‘B’ to record an overall seventh place in the South West.

Individual victories on the night went to: Katie Johnston, George Pearson, Henry Sheffield, Ischia Howells, Olivia Kerr Muir, Isabella Stenson, Samuel Kempster, Beatrice Kenny, Alexander Green and Ella Herbert.

In the relay, Cirencester victories went to the Boys 10-11 Freestyle Team, Boys 10-11 Medley Team, Boys 10-12 Medley Team, Boys 10-12 Freestyle Team, Girls 10-12 Medley Team, Girls 10-12 Freestyle Team, Boys and Girls Mixed Freestyle Team.
