Siddington 2-5 Minety

Minety's perfect to their Cirencester and District League Campaign continued with victory away at struggling Siddington.

Siddington only had 12 players and the average age of their team was 43 years old compared to Minety's very young side.

With no goal keeper in the squad, Siddington asked winger Delcan King to step in and go between the sticks.

He started off well and pulled off some great saves but goals from Paul Rose, Dan Pike, Clint Pike and a penalty from Robin Collert and Jake Peglar's strike proved too much as Minety pulled away.

Siddington's bad luck got even worse when stand in keeper King picked up an injury so Martin Winter had to go into goal for the last 30 minutes.

He too pulled off a couple of impressive saves but not having their number one keeper proved too much in the end for the home team.

Siddington goals came from Dennis King who was a pain in Minety's back four all game

In the end, Minety were too strong for a battling Siddington team.

Siddington are still on the look out for more players.

They are open to look at any player aged 16 and above.
