OPINION
So many roads lead to Wembley. Cirencester started by free wheeling down hill, beating Windsor 5-0 then Stoneham 7-0 writes John Light.
Brimscombe and Thrupp hit a roadblock losing heavily to Hayes and Yeading. These games were in the FA Cup ,a marvellous competition that is already underway.
As the competition nears The First round proper Forest Greens fans can start to dream.
Or perhaps some of us have already started.
Ties against Swindon and Derby County remain rich in the memory.
But who will it be this season?
Another road leads to the Play-off Final, this is not one for dreams.
This one is more of hope.
We have a strong squad and this the importance of the Carabao cup and Checkatrade Trophy.
Squad players can gain valuable game time.
We have a strong squad with game changers on the bench every match but they must be ready.
That is the value of these two competitions.
I’m currently on a major holiday and I had two major fears.
The first being that gloucestershire will be the bottom team in the County Championship but thankfully are not.
The second being that Frocester will be relegated which they unfortunately were.
The strength in depth however and will not be down for long.
I return for the home games against Cheltenham Town and Tranmere Rovers.
Who could miss those?
Will Forest Green Rovers still be unbeaten?
