BOURTON ROVERS' boss Scott Powles is relishing the start of the season.

Training at Rissington Road starts Tuesday, July 3 from 6.30pm and every Tuesday and Thursday thereafter.

Rovers first team play in Hellenic Division Two West while their second and third teams play in the Witney and District League.

Powles said: "Funds are in place to make most of the improvements needed to advance to Step 6 on the FA pyramid. "Floodlights have now been secured and delivered to the club ready for erection. We are in a strong place now on-and-off the field to bring Hellenic Division One football to Bourton in the not too distant future.

"I have made a couple of signings that will improve our squad and resigned Sam Mattock for next season, which I am delighted about. As a club we are very keen to attract new players which will complement our mixture of youth and experience. All three teams are hoping for a very competitive year as we move our club forward."
