LOUIS HARVEY put in a consistent performance and secured points in every heat and both finals.

Finally crossing the finish 11th after a scorching hot final and totalling the ninth highest points score of the weekend.

After two very strong practise sessions, Harvey posted the 4th quickest lap-time of the morning session. Things looked promising for timed qualifying but finding his position on track busy with battling karts he tried to find some clean air, but only managed to secure 11th fastest with only half-a-second separating the entire grid.

Starting 11th for heat 1 competition, the midfield was strong and saw the drivers continually swapping positions. Harvey was slowly making progress until being pushed wide allowing two drivers to pass him. Unfortunately, one of those drivers decided to drive defensively for the remainder of the race making passing too risky and forcing Harvey to cross the finish line in 12th.

Heat 2 again saw Harvey battling in midfield, but working with a fellow driver tried to chase down the pack rather than them both lose time. Despite their best efforts Harvey only managed to gain one position to finish 10th.

With the points added from heats 1 & 2, Harvey had secured himself a top ten starting position and after a good start was quickly up to 8th. With the high standard of driving at the front of the pack it was difficult to make any grounds and as the train of karts crossed the line he had to settle for 8th.

This gave Harvey another top 10 starting position for the main final and lined up 8th on the grid.

The first few laps saw him make up places getting as high as 6th by lap three, but as the tyres heated up in the blistering sunshine Harveys kart suffered from too much grip making it had to pull out of corners.

This allowed the chasing karts to catch and by lap 8 Harvey was starting to drop back. He battled hard to maintain position for the follow 13 laps of the race, but in the end crossed the finish line 11th just outside the top 10.
