SISTERS Kiya and Taya Dee took centre stage for Bourton Roadrunner Juniors at the Gloucestershire Track and Field Championships.

The Dee sisters have had an impressive winter cross country season and this continued with a 1st and 2nd place in the U15 girls 3000m competition in 10:43 and 11:37 respectively. Emily Field also ran well for a 3rd place and bronze medal in the U17s 3000m competition in 11:20.

Kiya and Taya also took part in the U15s 1500m competition with Kiya winning bronze in 5:04 and Taya 5th in 5:24. Isobel Barnett ran strongly for 7th in 5:53.

Abigail Barnett just missed out on bronze medal in the U13 girls 1500m race managing 4th in 5:59 as did Gabby Jones in the U17 girls race also managing 4th in 5:45.

Lucas Hartley was our sole runner in the U11 boys 600m race and was a little nervous at the start but ran well for 5th just 2 seconds behind 3rd in 2:07 beating his time last year of 2:34. Kian Dee and Arlen Hartley both ran strongly for 5th and 6th, 5:46 and 6:22 respectively in the U13 boys competition and Harvey Sawyer also did well in the U17 boys with 5th in 5:32 beating his time last year of 5:50.
