FAIRFORD Town were 8-2 winners in the Bluefin Sports Supplementary Cup at Faringdon Town on Saturday.
The visitors made the best of difficult conditions but had to come from behind as Lee Smith restored parity after the hosts had taken an early lead.
On loan midfielder Josh Gregory then put Fairford ahead before Dan Bailey scored twice in four minutes to make it 4-1 at the break.
Steve Hall marked his return to the side, following a four game suspension, with the fifth goal of the day for the visitors. Smith then grabbed his second of the game, following up after his penalty had been well saved to make it 6-1 on 77 minutes.
The hosts reduced the arrears with their second two minutes later.
Callum Preece made it seven before Liam Gale marked his return to the club with the eighth and final goal of a resounding cup victory.
