THE fourth-round of the Gloucestershire Cross Country League took place at Pittville Park, Cheltenham and the event was well supported by Bourton Roadrunner juniors.

In the u11s Kian Dee was Bourton's first runner home and finished in a very creditable 27th place. Arthur Quli was not far behind in 36th place, running an even paced race and despite going off a little too quick, Edward Jones held on for a very respectable 42nd place. These runners were well supported by Atticus Sinton 50th, Thomas Cassidy 51st, Dominic Luff 57th and Jacob Sinton 63rd.

Ella Gray showed her class in the u11s with an excellent eighth-place overall despite this being her first outing this season. Abigail Barnett also did well for 15th.

George Quli was Bourton's sole runner in the u13s and did well for 26th.

Kiya Dee again destroyed the field with her third first-place finish in the u13s race which gives her an unassailable lead in the competition this year. Sister Kaya Dee ran strongly for 10th and Isabel Dennett was our last runner home in 32nd place bringing the team home in third-place overall.

In the u15s Harvey Sawyer and Tom Williamson both did well for 12th and 15th respectively.

Helena West showed her experience in the u15s gradually moving up the field through the race for a well deserved 11th place. Isobel Barnett after a few difficult years is again on the up and getting better and more confident with every race for 16th.

Heidi Mundinano who has just recently joined the club ran steadily for 20th and will undoubtedly move up the field the more she trains.

Robbie Hughes did well in the u17s/20s boys race for 11th as the standard in the race was extremely high.

The u17s again ran in the ladies race and despite Emily Field suffering badly from stitch in the middle section of the race, again showed her class with an excellent 26th overall and second place in the u17s competition. Gabby Jones suffered with her achilles and did well to finish in 88th overall and seventh in the u17s.
