DRISSA TRAORE has signed for National League Tranmere Rovers after leaving Forest Green this week.

The 25-year-old helped Forest Green win promotion to the Football League last season with a 3-1 play-off final win over Tranmere at Wembley.

He has previously played for Le Havre, Notts County and Swindon Town.

Tarore joins Forest Green defender Manny Monthe, who moved on loan to Prenton Park last week.

Traore tweeted:"First of all a massive thanks to Forest Green and the fans.

"I had a great season and beautiful finish with the promotion at wembley last season and all the best to the team. Now I’ve joined Tranmere Rovers I can’t wait to start this new challenge."

Elsewhere, former Forest Green winger Mohamed Chemlal has signed for Bulgarian side FC Vereya.
