Thames Trot 50-Miler

Ann Hillary, Viv D'Alton and Lisa Cartlidge took on the extremely tough Thames Trot 50-mile trail race in gruelling wet and muddy conditions.

First of the trio home was Ann with a hugely respectable performance of eight hours and 58 minutes to finish 14th lady overall and 8th in her open age category.

Both Viv and Lisa battled extremely hard to complete the event and despite not making the cut off time at the last checkpoint they soldiered on through the final six muddy miles in pitch-black to finish in 11 hours and 55 minutes. Their performance earned them huge respect from the event organisers who were waiting at the end to give them their well deserved medals.

The Icing On The Cake Fell Half-Marathon

Daniel and Marianne Badger ran the tough 'Icing on the Cake Fell Half-Marathon' in Church Stretton with Daniel finishing seventh overall in two hours and seven minutes, while Marianne had a great result finishing with a podium placed second lady in a time of two hours and 16 minutes.

Enigma Quadzilla Marathon

Steve Edwards ran the Enigma Quadzilla Marathon in Milton Keynes and finished in three hours, thirty-three minutes and thirty-three seconds for third-place.

This took his overall marathon tally to 811, but it did mark the end of an unbroken streak of 86 consecutive sub 3:30s in the last 85 weeks.
