NEW signing Dan Gardner struck a debut goal as Fairford Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnham at Cinder Lane, writes Chris Tanner.
With 14 players unavailable, manager Jody Bevan was pleased with the efforts of his troops as the Reds rounded off 2017.
"In the circumstances it was a good point, we had 14 players unavailable through injuries, suspension and unavailability.
"The effort and application of the lads out there was outstanding with three making their debuts for the club."
Fairford were returning to action after a long lay off following the midweek postponement against Abingdon, and the encounter was goalless at the break.
Second half substitute Bevan had a hand in the opener, playing a through ball to Gardner who ran clear, before slotting the ball home after a one on one with visiting 'keeper Kyle Bradley with just ten minutes remaining.
However, the visitors were level with four minutes to take a share of the spoils.
