Gloucester Three
Tetbury 43, Cainscross 29
ON A bitterly cold afternoon Tetbury welcomed Cainscross in a local Gloucester 3 derby.
Over the past couple of seasons both teams have ensured a great spectacle of grassroots rugby and despite the arctic conditions they played out a 11-try match, with Tetbury scoring the extra try to take a 43-29 win.
Tetbury coach Stephen Knight acknowledged the determination and grit of his team as they battled against Cainscross’s strong scrum. Smart decision making and the willingness to play rugby saw Tetbury keep themselves one score ahead throughout the match.
In what was a mammoth effort from every player, Ant Jaep was chosen as player of the match.
Thanks to those who braved the cold to support the team once again - always appreciated.
