He steered his side to a 6-4 win over Forest Green A, who still hold on to second spot in the league.
David Lloyd and James Ashton scored a max apiece for Woodchester A against their B team club mates to give them a 7-3 win that takes them to the top of the table.
The points were shared at 5-5 when Yate entertained Phoenix A but it was the visitors' player Liwu Wei who was man of the match with a maximum.
