Bourton Roadrunners
THE women of Bourton Roadrunners have put up some terrific results in the last fortnight.

Niamh Shoemark won the Slaughter 10k and Liz Hulcup (2nd) along with Gill Carrick (3rd) picked up veteran podium places at the Headington 5-mile road race.

Niamh’s time over the challenging Slaughter 10k course was 42.27.

Other Bourton finishers were: Chris Lomax (44.39 – PB); Chris Dry (51.55); Tom Hill (52.12); Nick Harper (53.19); Gill Carrick (55.56) and Donna Harper, who completed her first ever 10k in 69.33.

At Headington, Darren Long was the first Bourton runner home in 31:47.

Other runners were: Chris Lomax (36:17); Liz Hulcup (40:47); Chris Dry (41:26); Gill Carrick (42:43) and Linda Edwards (47:09).

Meanwhile, Bourton Roadrunners' Graham Lane headed to France to take part in the half-ironman event at the Chateau de Chantilly Triathlon.

Graham completed the gruelling course in 6hr 41min including a 1.9k swim in 44.12, a 90k bike in 3hr 15min and a half marathon run in 2hr 30min.
