Bourton Roadrunners
Gloucester 20-mile Road Race
TIM CARTER of Bourton Roadrunners put up a great performance in the Gloucester 20, which will give him confidence ahead of the upcoming London Marathon.
Tim was neck and neck with the eventual winner to the 15-mile mark and just dropped off the pace a little to finish a clear second in 1:56.53.
Chris Lomax had a superb run to record 2:56.53, with Chris Dry less than two minutes behind in 2:58.29. Tony Goodwill ran with his son and breezed round in 3:04.54.
Graham Lane, Dave Turnbull, Linda Edwards and David Rees all had strong runs in windy conditions with respective times of 3:07.00, 3:07.21 and 3:19.29 for Linda and David running together.
Bath and Reading Half-Marathons
DARREN LONG completed two half-marathons on consecutive weekends, recording very creditable times of 1:26.42 in Bath and 1:32.08 in difficult conditions at Reading.
