BUSSAGE biathlete Henry Sheffield has defended his national title, becoming the under 11 British modern biathlon champion 2016 after winning the under 10 category last year.
10-year-old Henry, who attends Bussage primary school, competed on Saturday, November 26 posting a 50m swim time of 0:33:36 and an 800m track time of 2:39:12.
Henry’s older brother Archie, 12, also competed at the event, finishing 20th in the under-13 category.
The boys are both members of Cirencester swimming club and Cirencester athletics club.
Their mum, Rebecca Sheffield, said: “Both boys love swimming and running so the modern biathlon is a great event for them.
“We’re very proud of them and its fantastic to see all their hard work pay off.”
