ANDREW HIBBARD'S Minety 1st XV take on Royal Wootton Bassett's 2nd XV at Minety Fields today, kick off 2.30pm.
The skipper will be hoping to welcome back some of the first team squad from injury and prevent the sudden slide in form at the end of last Saturday’s game at Supermarine which almost cost them dearly.
Bassett arrive in seventh place in the Dorset and Wilts Div One North table with 17 points, two places below Minety.
Even though Bassett have won only three of their eight matches in the league, the team are on something of a high having given runaway league leaders Corsham a fine match last weekend before going down 21-16.
Other victories have also come recently against both Chippenham and Frome.
Matt Stone will be hoping that he can put out a full 2nd XV team against Swindon IIIs at Minety Fields.
The side were unable to fulfil their D&W3N fixture at Corsham last weekend due to injuries and absences.
Not only did they concede the match and the points, they also conceded the return fixture later on in the season, which has now be swapped, under league rules, to Corsham's ground.
Today’s visitors have lost their last three league matches, at home to Bradford and Supermarine and away to Trowbridge, but they have recorded victories over both Corsham (league) and Chippenham (cup) this season.
